"We have great expectations of the Lake District and while we did not disappoint them, time has a little 'down the Lake District is an area, and a few big cities. We were in the central city, Windermere. Although it is a beautiful city, it isnot surprising. It was just beautiful. Our B & B was the cheapest we found, because the hostels were all out, which means that we had not booked a kitchen. Therefore, our 3 days in the Lake District have been costly, as we had for dinner. The first day we just walked around the city. Exploring every single pub and what was only a few shops. We examined a couple of walks we could do, and then we spent a good hour looking for a place to eat for dinner. Our local pub we found in Windermerehappens is the only food that does not, so we are somewhere at the bottom, where Kev had a traditional Cumbrian sausage (sausage roll is the only long) and I had broken haddock (not taste the fish at all, yess ). We had a nice chat at a local, who was sitting alone in our next to his dinner. He simply turned around and started the conversation. Very nice.
